In January 2005, John T. Moore was appointed Senior Vice President, CIO and Head of Logistics for TOO Brands, Inc. in Columbus , Ohio.
Prior to joining TOO Brands, Moore was the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Systems Group for the Best Buy Company, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this position, he was responsible for delivering all information systems within Best Buy and for the Best Buy infrastructure.
Before joining Best Buy, Moore was the Vice President of Global Architecture and Engineering for the Dell Computer Corporation in Austin, Texas. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of engineering, architecture, information security, and offshore development for Dell, globally.
Prior to joining Dell, Moore was a Senior Vice President of Technology for the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD � ). In this position, he was responsible for all information technology within the NASD parent organization and for its subsidiary NASD Regulation, Inc. During this time, Moore was responsible for forming the NasTech Alliance with EDS.
Before joining the NASD, Moore was Vice President for Global Development at Citicorp, overseeing all applications development for Citicorp's Corporate Bank. He was also a member of the Board of Directors, Citicorp Overseas, Limited (COSL), and developed the concept, design, and implementation plan for Citicorp's Global Development Organization (GDO).
Prior to his employment at Citicorp, he spent ten years with General Electric Aerospace where he was named Director of Systems Engineering for GE's Astro-space Division. In this capacity, he led a 350 person technology team responsible for all systems engineering, conceptual design engineering, thermal engineering, control system engineering, electro-optic engineering, and specialty engineering activities for the Division.
Moore was a Captain, fighter pilot, and instructor pilot in the United States Air Force. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force's prestigious F-15 Fighter Weapons Instructor School and was awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Commendation Medal, and the Combat Readiness Medal.
Moore has served on the Board of Directors for the United States Air Force Academy Association of Graduates since 1999. He is a 1978 graduate of the Academy with a BS in Astronautical Engineering, and holds an MBA from the Krannert School for Executive Education at Purdue University, which he received in 1992.
