Mark Goloja is the Director, Loss Prevention and Safety for Carlton Cards Retail, Inc. a subsidiary of American Greetings Corporation. Mark is responsible for all facets of the Loss Prevention & Safety program throughout North America. He also oversees the Banking/Sales Audit Department as well as the physical inventory process for North American Retail.

Goloja joined American Greetings in 1994 as a Loss Prevention Officer and soon after found his passion for Retail when joining Carlton Cards in 1996. Mark has had the ability to work with and learn from some of the top Loss Prevention professionals in the industry. Using his knowledge he acquired through his tenure with Carlton he took on the challenge of the Director role in 2003. Mark and his Loss Prevention team uses technology to roll out his training and awareness program in a format they call �Infotainment�. The success of the program has helped reduce inventory variance, lower workers' compensation costs and increase awareness of organized retail crime.

Prior to his career at American Greetings, Mark graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College with a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice while serving a six-year term in the United States Marine Corps.
