Michael Hess

Michael's professional career within the retail industry has taken place over the last twenty five plus years. Throughout his career, Michael has been involved with selling and implementing technology solutions to retail companies throughout the US and in Latin America and Europe.
Michael started his retail career at a local Chicago based retailer, Carson Pirie Scott. After leaving the retailer, he spent the next 16 years with one of IBM's largest and most successful business partners, Retail Store Systems. In 2005, Retail Store Systems was acquired by the UK based technology company, Torex Retail. During his time at Retail Store Systems and Torex Retail, Michael held a number of positions including the VP of Sales and Marketing, President of Retail Store Systems and Divisional CEO with Torex Retail.
As the CEO for Torex Retail Americas, he was responsible for the software and technology solutions offered to the general retail, supermarket and quick service restaurant segments as well as enterprise solutions including merchandise planning and allocation applications. Michael has been involved with the acquisition and integration of multiple technology companies. Michael left Torex in September 2007 to start Tech Global Partners, Inc. which is focused on technology and strategy consulting for the Technology Industry.
