Keith Morrow
Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Blockbuster Inc.
Keith Morrow is the Chief Information Officer for Blockbuster Inc, based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, he is responsible for the company's enterprise technology capabilities and the Blockbuster.com and Movielink.com e-Commerce businesses. Over the last year, the technology function at Blockbuster has been transformed to a strategic enabler, helping lead the company to the forefront of the digital media entertainment industry.
Prior to Blockbuster, Morrow started K. Morrow Associates, an IT-effectiveness consultancy. In this role, he assisted several large retail organizations re-vamp and modernize their IT team's capabilities and financial performance.
Before starting his consulting practice, Morrow was an SVP and CIO at 7-Eleven Inc for 5 years. During his tenure, Morrow helped lead the modernization of the 7-Eleven Retail Information System, which is the technology platform at the core of 7-Eleven's improved retail process execution and consistent sales performance in the company's 5,800 stores in the United States and Canada.
Morrow was appointed by Rick Perry, the Governor of the Great State of Texas to serve on the Texas Department of Information Resources board in 2004. In this capacity, he is providing his leadership and governance of key initiatives currently underway within the Texas DIR including a multi-year data center consolidation project.
Prior to his years with Blockbuster and 7-Eleven, Morrow was Senior Vice President of e-Commerce at Associates First Capital Corporation (now CitiGroup). Over his distinguished career, Morrow has held a number of senior-level management positions, including a 15-year career with ADP, one of the nation's largest human resources and payroll services companies. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a MBA with an emphasis in e-commerce.
Recognition of Morrow's efforts include Executive Technology Top 10 Retail CIOs in 2002, CIO magazine's Top 100 Most Resourceful in 2003 and The Agile 100 in 2004, SIM International IT Executive of the Year in 2003, Infoworld Top 100 IT Visionaries of 2003 and Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2004.
