Mike Griswold
Research Director/Retail, AMR Research
Mike brings over two decades of industry experience to his role as research director in the retail practice at AMR Research. Mike is primarily responsible for researching, analyzing, and writing on the technologies, best practices, and trends that grocers and other fast-moving consumer goods retailers utilize to maintain and enhance their business and retail operations.
Prior to joining AMR Research, Mike was the director of supply chain business programs at Albertson's. In this position, he directed the systems development lifecycle for an enterprise-wide forecasting and replenishment application. He was also responsible for facilitating the business planning process across marketing, merchandising, and the supply chain.
Before this, Mike held several positions at Shaw's Supermarkets. Most recently, he was a director of integration. In this role, Mike developed a supply chain management organization supported by a customer-centric forecasting and replenishment application. He also initiated Shaw's strategic partnership with MIT to further develop the grocer's supply chain practices. Mike also managed the integration of Star Markets into Shaw's, and served as the project manager on several other acquisitions.
Prior to Shaw's, Mike spent nine years at Hills Department Stores. He implemented a new POS system and introduced UPC scanning to the company, which included a network of over 200 stores.
Mike earned his M.B.A. from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and his B.S. in business management from Canisius College. He holds a Six Sigma Green Belt technical certification.
