Dale Linebarger was the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) from February 2006 until October 2009. AAFES is a joint military activity providing quality merchandise and services to active duty, guard and reserve members, military retirees and their families at competitively low prices. AAFES returns earnings to the Army and Air Force to improve troops' quality of life and to provide a dividend to support Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs. AAFES operates more than 3,000 facilities in 35 countries. Total revenues in 2009 exceeded $10 billion.

In his 35 year career with AAFES, he held a variety of positions, primarily in retail operations and merchandising. During his tenure as CIO, AAFES completed projects replacing the enterprise merchandising system, upgrading the Retail Point of Sale (RPOS) system, a new price management application and upgraded the network/store infrastructure. Projects initiated include replacement of the legacy non-retail procurement system and warehouse management system.

Mr. Linebarger holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Southwest Texas State University and a MBA from Amberton University. He has also attended Executive programs at the University of Arkansas, Texas A&M University, Rice University, Babson College and Harvard Business School.
