Anna's Linens has implemented the JDA Point-of-Sale (POS) solution in its 280 stores, improving its customer data control and reporting capabilities and establishing the foundation for store-level workforce management planning.
"Our previous POS system was an older legacy system that did not have the capability and functionality to enable advanced couponing, capture customer data and integrate with our workforce management system," said Anna's Linens COO Scott Gladstone in a statement.
The implementation took place in two phases. There were three months of planning and design followed by deployment and go-lives at two pilot stores, and then a chainwide rollout. In addition to replacing its existing POS system, Anna's Linens plans to integrate the new solution with JDA Merchandise Management System (MMS).
The deployment has improved POS register performance and gained better data control and reporting for Anna's Linens, enabling a strong foundation for new marketing activities at the high-quality, value-priced domestic and home furnishings retailer that operates stores in 19 states.
"We know that in order to drive revenue and increase profits, we need to stay very focused on our customers," said Gladstone. "Having the appropriate application at the store level allows us to capture the important customer data that we need that allows us to serve our customers better than the competition."
