Innovation Store Showcases New Retail Technologies

Working with technology partners, merchandising and POS software provider Cegid will present its mock Innovation Store at NRF’s Big Show this year. On show on the expo floor on Jan. 16 and 17 at booth 1669, the Innovation Store will feature technology retailers need to keep up with tomorrow’s shopper.

Technology on display in the Innovation Store include RFID tracking from Tagsys, customer-engaging digital displays and kiosks from Intuilab, and advancements in mobile POS from Cegid, including how consumers’ increasing use of smartphones and tablets to make payments will impact the physical store.

“We’re showing how technology changes the way people shop and how retailers need to look ahead towards a more omni-channel future,” says Tania Oakey, marketing director for retail at Cegid. “But retailers mustn’t neglect their stores either; they need to become more interactive and in-tune with the expectations of today’s shopper.”

Cegid will also unveil new features in its Yourcegid Retail software suite, including solutions for improved mobility, CRM, inventory, replenishment and in-store human resources optimization, which leads to a truly omni-channel vision and single version of the truth.
