Oracle Unveils Integrated Inventory Planning Suite

Oracle Retail announces the release of an integrated inventory planning suite. The new suite combines Oracle Retail Replenishment Optimization, Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting and Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning applications to help retailers better predict customer demand, balance service levels with inventory investment, and continuously synchronize and align supply with demand.

The Oracle Retail integrated inventory planning suite offers retailers helps retailers align inventory investment with financial and merchandising strategy. New and enhanced capabilities include "on the fly" service level and inventory parameter setting optimization based on business objectives such as sales, margin, or volume that drive a time-phased, constraint-based replenishment plan.

To help support the linkage between localized assortments and inventory execution, retailers can leverage new item importance capabilities to drive inventory execution to align with their assortment strategy. The integrated inventory planning solution builds on Oracle Retail Release 13 and represents Oracle Retail's next major initiative toward delivering insight-driven retailing with an integrated suite of business software designed for retailers.
