Charlotte Russe shoppers are on the cutting edge in terms of fashion and trends, and they want interactivity and freshness as they shop online. To bring interactive merchandising to its e-commerce site, the fashion-forward retailer deployed
Allurent on Demand (AoD) a hosted, software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering. The software will help increase customer satisfaction and site conversion by quickly and cost-effectively deploying merchant-controlled widgets to retailers' existing Web sites.
The retailer's merchandising team works to create differentiated, engaging displays that strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty. The Allurent on Demand platform includes a library of interactive merchandising widgets. Charlotte Russe plans to use AoD widgets throughout the site, and expects that this addition of engaging shopping experiences will increase site conversion and entice customers to return frequently to the online store.
"AoD is the best approach to interactive merchandising - the most cost effective, fastest, and lowest risk solution out there," says Craig Gillan, director of e-commerce, Charlotte Russe. "Moving our interactive investment to a SaaS model allows us to continue to innovate and invest in our website in a way that works for 2009's realities."
The Allurent platform also provides a back-end merchandising tool to update products, images and marketing copy and deploy different interactive widgets to specific locations on the e-commerce site. This was a key selling point for Charlotte Russe, according to Gillan. "AoD empowers our merchandisers. With Allurent on Demand, we'll be able to add, update and change displays in a fraction of the time that it takes today, with little to no involvement from our IT group."
