FYE Boosts Facebook Fans 56% with 'Twilight' Promotion

Entertainment retailer FYE recently completed a successful four-week Facebook promotion that leveraged discounts and a contest that sent the winner to the Los Angeles premier of the movie Breaking Dawn: Part 1 of the Twilight saga. The promotion boosted FYE Facebook fans 56%.
 
Using social marketing agency Media Logic, FYE messages regarding specially-priced Breaking Dawn soundtracks as well as assorted Twilight merchandise was delivered to more than 125,000 unique fans with a total of 868,000 impressions through Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter. 
 
"With Media Logic's help, FYE is engaging our customers and consolidating social conversations into social strategies," says Jodie Evans, director of promotions and visual merchandising with FYE. "There's tremendous potential for amplification of our messages through our network, and that means tremendous opportunity to increase sales and brand loyalty."
 
When the promotional package from the Breaking Dawn production studio was offered to FYE, Media Logic developed and deployed the social promotion to take advantage of the buzz around the film's much anticipated premier. Launched in the final week of September, the brand accumulated thousands of entries, hundreds of thousands of impressions and connected directly with tens of thousands of potential customers on Facebook.
