Nine West Steps Launches new Mobile Storefront
Nine West Footwear Corporation, a division of Jones Apparel Group, launches a new mobile storefront, NineWest.com/Mobile, which is designed to meet on-the-go shopping needs of the digitally connected shoe and accessory enthusiast who wants to learn about the latest trends and hottest looks of the season and make a purchase from their mobile device.
Nine West is leveraging a Demandware eCommerce implementation for the launch. The single, unified environment between the mobile storefront and the e-commerce site makes it an easy transition for Nine West merchants to manage the experiences of customers across digital channels.
"Our shoppers are beginning to rely on their mobile devices for more than just talking to their friends or sending text messages," says Ron Offir, Nine West Group, president of eCommerce. "We are delivering a full-featured, customizable mobile storefront that more readily meets the needs of our on-the-go customers. Working with Demandware gives us the functionality needed to address our customers' existing appetite for mobile shopping and, at the same time, the opportunity to introduce new, exciting capabilities that will make their mobile shopping experience more interactive both now and in the future."
Nine West's mobile site provides access to all of the products found within its traditional online retail store. On NineWest.com/Mobile, customers can make a purchase, search for a product, access their Nine Loves account, sign up for e-mail alerts, communicate with customer service and locate Nine West retail stores.
"Online retailers are challenged to meet the constantly evolving habits of the contemporary shopper," says Jamus Driscoll, vice president of marketing at Demandware. "We designed Demandware's mobile commerce application to simplify the process for retailers of extending the reach of their brand from the traditional online retail ecommerce to the mobile phone, and we will continue to provide a flexible and customizable environment that allows them to do exactly that. We are proud to be working with Nine West to deliver its best-in-class mobile storefront."
