Quiksilver Rapidly Rolls Out E-Commerce Sites in 10 Countries
Quiksilver recently launched e-commerce sites in 10 countries over just a few months' time. The outdoor sports lifestyle retailer's use of the Demandware cloud-based e-commerce platform made possible rapid rollouts of sites in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.
"Quiksilver had a very aggressive market expansion strategy and we needed a platform that would allow us to roll out multiple sites across geographies in a fast, efficient way," said Quiksilver's senior vice president of digital Nicolas Foulet in a statement. "Equally important was the ability to create distinct brand experiences that we can continuously evolve and enhance for our customers."
The new sites feature highly visual, interactive environments that display more than 3,000 products within the context of various outdoor sports, using videos, interactive look books and sophisticated search capabilities. The sites also incorporate community and social media to keep surfing, snow and skateboard enthusiasts up-to-date and connected with athletes, events and the latest innovations.
"Launching 10 sites in different geographies in a few months is a major accomplishment. I believe this would not have been possible with any other platform," said Foulet.
