Big Sandy Superstores Selects RedPrairie Merchandise Management

Big Sandy Superstores has selected RedPrairie Merchandise Management to optimize a range of its core business functions, including merchandising, inventory management, customer service, warehouse management and point-of-sale. Leveraging the solution will allow the 20-store furniture retailer to make more informed decisions to optimize inventory, employee productivity and vendor relationships while improving customer service and margins.

The retailer had been seeking an enterprise solution to replace its legacy ERP system. "RedPrairie was by far the most aggressive and accommodating in figuring out exactly what our needs were," said Big Sandy CEO Robbie Van Hoose in a statement. He noted that the retailer was still in the early stages of implementation and that RedPrairie's "new point of sale application, RedPrairie Point of Sale Plus, is a game changer."
