Sephora Boosts Brand Awareness with Facebook Fan Fridays

Like many retailers, Sephora is working on what to do with a Facebook "like." The beauty retailer's solution comes in the form of a special weekly promotion that fans of its page learn about first through their Facebook feeds. Called "Fan Fridays," the promotion works to boost the retailer's brand awareness as well as drive e-commerce traffic and sales.

Fan Friday deals are first shared on Sephora fans' newsfeeds, where they can share the offer with their friends. When they click the "Fan Fridays" tab on the retailer's Facebook page, they are greeted with an offer that changes each Friday.

At the time of publication, there is an offer for free mini Versace Bright Crystal and Pour Homme fragrances with any online purchase of $25 or more on the page. Shoppers are instructed to enter a special code at checkout. When they click the "shop now" icon, fans are taken to the Sephora home page where they can browse through products and view other weekly specials in addition to the Free Fridays offer.
