NRF 2012: Bay and Ascena CEOs Map Stores' Next Incarnation
Retailers who are anxiously redefining the roles of their brick-and-mortar stores in today's omni-channel environment can hear the perspectives of two leading CEOs at "The Next Evolution: Store 3.0," an NRF 2012 Super Session.
Bonnie Brooks, CEO of The Bay (Hudson's Bay Co.), Canada's oldest department store, will be joined by David Jaffe, CEO of Ascena Retail Group, which operates 2,500 stores under the dressbarn, maurices and Justice brands. The retail executives will be joined by Alison Paul, vice chairman and U.S. retail and distribution leader, Deloitte LLP.
Those retailers able to combine the sensory experience possible in brick-and-mortar stores with the information and accessibility of digital commerce will be likely to attract customer loyalty and share of wallet. This session offers a forward-looking view into the likely shape of the shopper experience in the next few years, and how stores will need to evolve as customers' expectations change.
