Advance Auto Parts Gains Real-Time Visibility into Labor

Advance Auto Parts enhances productivity at eight of its distribution centers by implementing RedPrairie Workforce Management. The automotive retailer also plans to roll out RedPrairie's Transportation Management and Collaboration Portal solutions.

Advance Auto Parts uses Workforce Management to gain real-time visibility into labor metrics enterprise-wide. Through a process of strategic project management, technological integration, and managed change, the company plans to use the system to deploy the right number of workers, with the right skills, at the right time to meet business objectives and customer demand.

"Our company wanted a solution that could incorporate integrated time and incentive programs in a rapid and direct fashion," said Chas Scheiderer, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Advance Auto Parts. "RedPrairie's Workforce Management has capabilities for both, and what we consider a simple and straightforward installation procedure. As a whole, we think it was the right choice for our business."
