Chico's Optimizes Store-Specific Allocations

Chico's goes live with Allocation and Workforce Management Solutions from JDA Software Group. The women's specialty retailer implemented the solutions across its three retail chains including Chico's, White House|Black Market and Soma Intimates.

The operator of more than 1,080 boutiques throughout the United States and direct-to-consumer channels installed JDA Allocation at all three brands in less than six months. The first major Chico's FAS brand went live with the Allocation solution within four months. JDA Workforce Management was rolled out to all Chico's FAS stores in seven months.

"Speed to value was critical to our decision to undergo a rapid deployment of the JDA solutions," said Jeff Jones, chief operating officer, Chico's FAS. "We knew that from a functionality standpoint, JDA Allocation is one of the most robust solutions in the marketplace. JDA Allocation has helped us quickly and effectively optimize store-specific allocations across our entire retail enterprise. Already, we've realized an improvement in inventory turns and reduced stock-outs.

"With JDA Workforce Management, our stores went from a manual scheduling process to one that's now automated, enabling us to improve scheduling and service for our customers."
Jones added, "We relied heavily on the expertise and best-practice processes that the JDA Strategic Services team brought to the project. As a result, we completed our aggressive implementation on time and on budget, as well as enhanced our overall business processes while managing to maintain the individuality of the three brands."
